Caramel Colour
The caramel colour is a result of a controlled heat treatment of carbohydrates derived from natural sources, including corn, wheat and sugar. The browning process is called caramelization. Caramel colours are the most used colourants in the world and they make an absolutely harmless food colouring ingredient.
RPJ International offers a wide range of both powder and liquid caramel colours, including E150a, E150b, E150c and E150d. Our company also supplies both forms (liquid and powder) of burnt sugars which helps satisfy the growing demand for “pure label”.
Burnt sugars are primarily used as a flavoring agent with a colouring effect. Typically, they can be found in cereal, confections, bread, beverages and baked goods.
